Hear
it was the best day of the summer is hear! My sister and I were going
on a trip to Fun Town Splash Town with my cousins Matt and Heidi. I
was so excited I could almost taste the food and most importantly the
new rides. They pulled in I almost fell over. I was out the door
walking to the car then out of no were I hear.
“Jake were not going”
My uncle just broke my heart. my own uncle.
“Why we were so excited. Why say that now?”
“I'm just kidding lets go.”
The ride was the worst part. We were in the car talking
back and forth the whole time.
We
finally got there after the 2 hour ride. We got out and got the stuff
we needed and started off for the entrance. The wait in line was the
worst part. There was a very big line. Matt and I were dying to get
in. He was talking about the new rides the Tornado
and the Mammoth.
I really wanted to see them. Matt said, “You can see them from
here.” He was right. There were two big rides in the distant
side of the park. The Mammoth was on the left, and the Tornado was on
the right. We got seats right by them. We had a quick lunch and got
in line for the Tornado.
When we were waiting we heard people screaming but with
excitement.
I asked Matt, “Have you ever been on this ride
before?”
His reply was, “Yes we went last year, it was
awesome!”
“I hear ya.”
When
it was our turn we got into the two man tube. You can't go alone. As
we were waiting there we were shivering with
excitement. When we started the trip down we were staring at the dark
tunnel. When we hit the first turn we were splashed with water in the
face. We were wiping them off when we hit the next turn. When we
opened are eyes my back was facing the direction we were going in.
Matt started to laugh when we hit the next turn. I turned to find a
big drop off that lead to the heart of the ride, the Tornado. As soon
as I turned back around
I was hit with a force so hard my butt came flying off my seat. I was
screaming; Matt was laughing. It was not funny at first, but it would
soon be funny. We entered the tornado. It was big and the sound of
roaring water was
echoing throughout the tunnel. We went up to a point of the wall
where we were about 50% up it. Then we were going back and forth
throughout it all the way to the exit. The exit looped around and out
to a pool where we were helped out of the tube by a person. From
there he put the tube on a lift to the top. The ride was so intense
we went on it about 3 or 4 more times. Then we finally got in line
for the Mammoth.
The Mammoth was a dark looking ride. Sitting on the
raft was Matt and I plus Jenna and Heidi. This was not going to be as
good as the Tornado, but it would be fun. We were off. It was a fast
paced ride with wind pushing against my face, and it was pitch black.
All of a sudden there were lights. Just in time to. Just then there
were a series of twisting turns. Then we saw what we called the light
at the end of the tunnel. We were showered by a waterfall at the
exit. At the end of the ride was an opened tube that looped around
and left us in the pool. There were people that just came out of the
Tornado as well. We could hear them say it was worth the wait. We
looked up to the line only to find a huge line for the Tornado. We
got in line anyway and went on the Tornado again, we had a blast!
We were on and off the Tornado for the rest of the day.
When it was time to go the line was longer then ever. On the way back
home I found an interest in cheesy bread sticks at Pizza Hut. I was
the only one out of us four kids to not fall asleep. This made the
ride back boring. The experience with my cousins was irreplaceable.
Nothing could ever change that.
